4. Potatoes

You won’t want to believe it, but it’s true – the potato is a poisonous plant. Its roots, sprouts, leaves and stem have a fungicide called solanine. Leaving the plant in the light for too long is a bad idea since then the chemical starts building up in the potato itself. Solanine causes coma, diarrhea, cramps, headaches and, in some cases, death. Get rid of potatoes that are slightly greenish.
